Ten Plagues
:אֵלּוּ עֶשֶׂר מַכּוֹת שֶׁהֵבִיא הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא עַל הַמִּצְרִים בְּמִצְרַיִם, וְאֵלּוּ הֵן
דָּם, צְפַרְדֵּעַ, כִּנִּים, עָרוֹב, דֶּבֶר, שְׁחִין, בָּרָד, אַרְבֶּה, חֹשֶׁךְ, מַכַּת בְּכוֹרוֹת
These are the Ten Plagues which the Holy One, blessed be He, brought upon the Egyptians, namely as follows:
Blood, frogs, lice, wild beasts, pestilence, boils, hail, locust, darkness, slaying of the first-born

The biggest plagues that I see in the world today are the killing of innocent people (terror), poverty (starving children), refugees, and lack of education. All these create fear and some people give up. It is also not fair that you have bad government that is corrupt. -Bina
The biggest plague today is intolerance. So much evil and hate stems from intolerance. It is the root of the biggest problems in the world today (ex: racism, hate, terrorism...). I do not think that the 10 plagues were necessary. SO many innocent people suffered. I see small miracles every day, whether it be love or childbirth or nature... I don't think miracles will ever cease to exist. I think that some people deserve to suffer, even if that may seem extreme. I don't know if I would call it joy to see justice done, but I would call it reassurance that karma exists. -Danielle
I think that the three biggest plagues in our world are egotism, ignorance, and selfishness. Although these three go hand in hand, I feel as though many of the problems occurring in our day to day life stem from these three plagues. By being egotistical, ignorant, or selfish, you are contributing to the downfall of our society. When looking at the global impact, being egotistical, ignorant, and/or selfish has caused wars and fighting across the world. By eliminating these three topics, we can begin to amend the overall well-being of our society. -Saba
I think the three biggest plagues our world is suffering from is lack of priority, overpopulation, and lack of emotional control. I believe that we are not correctly prioritizing issues in society today. we have favored short-term gains (economic growth and stability) over long term goals such as being able to live on earth indefinitely by learning to live with the earth and not merely off of it. I believe this stems from a lack of emotional control for people restrain from attacking the short term because the long term will be dealt with by someone else. Overpopulation is changing the world in many ways and it is hard to say the world is close to the same as it was 100 years ago. -Samsom
